WHAT IS HOSTING? Hosting is the housing of a web site, E-mail or a domain, on the internet. A host not only stores a web site but - most critically - makes it possible for internet surfers from around the World to find your web site when they put in your domain address. e.g. www.yourcompany.com
What Servers do you use? We use “state of the art” Pentium IV 2 Ghz (or better) Dell Poweredge, PowerApp, and Compaq Proliant servers with 1 GB of RAM or above, 36 GB or more of mirrored (RAID1) disk space running windows 2000
What is Boxa Media’s Connection to the Internet? Boxa Media’s Data center connects directly to two major backbones (AT&t Verio) through multiple fully redundant OC-48 and DS3 (T3) connections
Do I need to have a domain name to setup a new account? No, you don’t have to have a domain when you setup your account, but you will need it eventually.
Can I Change the options for my server after the initial setup? Yes you can, Just let us know what you need, and we will taylor the system to your needs. You can also upgrade to any of our other plans at anytime.
Do you host Adult orientated/Adult content sites? No, Boxa Media does not host adult oriented sites or sites which contain pornography. If you fail to comply with the Acceptable User Policy your account will be disabled and may be terminated and your site deleted.
Do you monitor hosted sites for adult content? We are not obligated to monitor the network to examine content. By creating an account with us you acknowledge that if you are aware of content that is determined to be, in its sole discretion, unacceptable, undesirable, offensive, indecent, obscene, excessively violent or otherwise objectionable, we have the right, but not the obligation, to edit, remove or deny access to such content. No refunds will be issued to accounts deleted for violation our adult content policy.
What is considered adult content?
Web sites containing any of the following are prohibited:
- Pornography and sex-related merchandising. This includes sites that may infer sexual content, display nudity, or link to adult content elsewhere.
- Any erotic or pornographic material, fetish material, links to adult sites or advertisements for adult sites are prohibited.
- Material that is sexually explicit and related to XXX material.
- Sites dedicated to things related to sex or sexual activity.
- Sites that provide access to images of nude adults possibly engaging in sexual acts or other sexual material that is offensive or objectionable.
- Cartoons or characters that depict sex acts
- Sites that require disclaimer requiring views to meet specific age requirements.
